Computer Troubles: Back for Now

Well, here I am again. For now, at least.

It was a few weeks ago, on a Thursday, when I noticed we were offline. I was having my company that day anyways, so I shut down the laptop and put it away. Later that evening, I pulled it back out to make sure the internet was really still off and it wasn’t just a temporary fluke. (Occasionally we’ll go offline for awhile.)

Well, it wouldn’t start up properly. It looked like it was going to start, then went instead to a list of options on how to start the computer, each one only leading back to that page. Anyways, the gist of it is that we found out that our hard drive had gone kaput. We only just bought this computer in July, but I guess computers and their components can be tempermental. Thankfully, since it was so new, it was still under warranty and we were able to take it in to a local Staples and get the work done. It’s worked fine ever since.  When I first tried the internet, it didn’t work that day, but the next day and every day since we’ve mysteriously been online. So I’m not sure what is up.

Well, I’m not going to try to “catch up” on what happened while I was away. If I think of especially important things you missed, I’ll add them as I come up with them.

We just enjoyed a three-day weekend, and next weekend is also a three-day weekend. Also, our 5th anniversary is coming up on the 5th of January! Truly the best 5 years of my life.  Since becoming a wife, and also a mother, I feel like I am finally fulfilled. I am fulfilling the role I was created for, and that’s exciting.

The weather has been downright cold here, as of late. It’s gotten into the 20’s and frosted. Yesterday was rather nice, but today a storm blew in from the ocean bringing some rain this morning, and supposedly wind, though I haven’t been outside.

Well, that will have to do it for now. I tried to write a post yesterday, but I couldn’t remember my password and my email  was acting up so I couldn’t reset it, either.
