General Stuff

So, why is it that I always get an itch to compose a blog post after 10pm right when I’m about to shut the laptop and head up to bed?

I know I’ve been absent lately. I’ll try to think of what’s been going on.

My father-in-law came to visit us for a week from Pittsburgh. That was enjoyable. The last time we saw him was when MJ was 3mo old. I was glad he got to meet his grandchildren. He really enjoyed his time out here, and we enjoyed having him. He cooked some wonderful food, we went hiking, we had a “Happy Everything Day” party, we ate at the Vera Cruz Fish House, we watched Cars. It was a good time.

While he was here, I went up to Riverside and passed my driving test. It was very basic. I was just super relieved to have it over and done with! M did a whole song-and-dance routine celebrating the joys of (him) not having to go grocery shopping anymore.

Taking three nap-deprived, hungry children shopping after church isn’t exactly my idea of “fun”, but, what are you going to do?

Tomorrow there will be a lunar eclipse. I was planning on looking at it, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to see it or not, as clouds blew in this morning and aren’t supposed to leave until next week. Tonight I couldn’t see the moon at all. Argh. The next lunar eclipse won’t be for three years.

C is awake and crying now so I must go since M is already sleeping. More to come later!
