We found a rental house! We were only casually looking, because our apartment lease runs out next month. I think M was leaning towards just staying on another year, but was willing to see what our options were.

This house is more than twice the size of our apartment (and we have a decent-sized apt). It’s 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, + loft and office. And a garage, and most importantly, a YARD!! That part will be SO nice! It is only $160 more a month than what we’re paying here, which will easily be saved by gas alone. Of course, utilities will be higher, and we’ll have to either purchase yard equipment or hire a gardener.

The best part about this is that it is RIGHT near where M works! Like several blocks away. He could probably walk to work if he wanted to! So, he won’t have to get up so early, or go to bed so early, and save about 5 hrs every week commuting. More time to spend with the family in the evenings. And he can come home for lunch.

So, needless to say, we’re excited. This town is about 20 minutes from where we now live, so it shouldn’t have too big an effect on being able to see our friends.

A friend is taking me to the town where the property management company is located later today so I can sign the lease and drop off the deposit. Marcus wasn’t able to get any time off from work to do this, and they’re not open on the weekends.

Baby is due in 4 days! (Monday, the 21st) We’re all ready. I hope s/he makes their debut soon!

Wow! That is really great news! I understand your excitement, when we moved the last time, we moved very near my husband’s work.

I am so happy to hear this news, Amy! Just to have your husband nearer his work will make such a big difference! If only you were closer, you could have our lawn equipment. Love, Wardeh
